Document Description
The construction of a new underground electrical conduit for the Spring Valley Ranch development. A new underground electrical conduit will be constructed extending from the north of the Spring Valley Ranch site for approximately 2 miles along a network of existing unpaved roads, through public property and along existing easements through private property, utilizing the same alignment as the designated secondary emergency access route. The conduit will consist of one 4-inch and one 2-inch diameter PVC pipe installed approximately 10 feet below the ground surface. For the majority of the alignment the conduit will be placed in an excavated trench. The
alignment crosses several unnamed ephemeral drainages which are the subject of this notification. The conduit will utilize a horizontal directional drilling (HDD) installation method at each stream crossing to avoid direct impacts on the stream bed or banks. At each crossing, HDD activities will be located a minimum of 50 feet away from the stream channel and the conduit will pass approximately 10-feet below the stream bed.
