The location of the new propane tank will be approximately 30’ from, and parallel to, the exterior west side of the dorm building. Work will: • Excavate approximately 10’ long x 4’ wide x 6” deep to create a level area for concrete tank blocks; • Install one (1) new single regulator LPG 500-gallon propane tank on the concrete blocks; • Excavate two (2) holes 30” deep x 12” in diameter between the existing asphalt parking area and the new propane tank; • Place two (2) new bollards in these holes and fill with concrete; • Install one (1) free standing upright regulator with a shut off valve underneath the dorm; • Trench approximately 35’ long x 6” wide x 21” deep in previously disturbed soil (between the propane tank and the regulator shut off valve; • Place 1” poly flex line with tracer tape in the trench and backfill trench with 6” of weed free sand to encase gas line; and • Use the soil displaced from the trenching to fill the remainder of the trench and grade to match surrounding topography.
