Document Description
A Final Supplemental Environmental Impact Report (FSEIR) for the proposed Rehabilitation of Runway 8R-26L and Associated Improvements (Proposed Project) at Ontario International Airport (ONT) was approved and certified by the OIAA Board of Commissioners on 6/23/2022. The Proposed Project focuses on the rehabilitation and reconstruction of Runway 8R-26L, taxiway connector improvements and other associated airfield improvements, including the relocation of objects located within the Runway Safety Area (RSA) and Runway Object Free Area (ROFA), and relocation of the south electrical vault. Runway 8R-26L requires rehabilitation and reconstruction as it was built in 1979 and has exceeded the intended design service life of 20-years. Additionally, there are objects located within the RSA and ROFA that need to be relocated to meet Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) standards.
