Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has executed Streambed Alteration Agreement number EPIMS-FRE-15090-R4 pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the applicant, Southern California Edison.
Project activities will include the installation of a removable floatable boat barrier spanning the length of Shaver Dam at the surface of Shaver Lake. The boat barrier will have attached in-water chains and anchors on the north and south end of Shaver Dam and in-water anchors to keep it in place and will respond to changes in water levels of up to 100 feet.

The Project includes the maintenance of an existing facility of a publicly-owned utility used to provide electric power, natural gas, sewerage, or other public utility services with no expansion of use. The Project will not have significant environmental impacts if it is completed under the protective features of Streambed Alteration Agreement No. FRE-15090-R4.
