Document Description
This Agreement covers routine maintenance activities within Shale Creek involving the removal of excess shale, sediment, and vegetation from 1,500 linear feet of stream to match the original stream depth. Removal activities will only take place within the stream bottom (a width of 10-15 feet), vegetation along the banks will be avoided. Maintenance activities will take place annually and be accomplished using a mini-excavator or similar equipment. Permittee will submit annual reports documenting maintenance activities within Shale Creek each year for a period of 5 years. Restoration activities involve removal of non-native plants and replacing with locally native plants along the Santa Ynez River. The restoration area will be maintained for plant establishment and monitored until success criteria has been met. Permittee will submit annual monitoring reports documenting restoration, maintenance, monitoring, and success.
