Document Description
This project is located on U.S. 395 from 0.2 mile south of Cemetery Road, near the Mono Inn, to just before the junction with State Route 167, north of the community of Lee Vining, in Mono County. The project will involve pavement rehabilitation and HMA overlay with 3 feet wide shoulder backing placed along the entire length of the project. Striping, rumble strips, dikes, and metal beam guardrail will be replaced. Natina finish will be applied to the new guardrail. Some minor vegetation removal may be required but no trees will be removed. No utility relocation is anticipated. Stormwater best management practices will be implemented as required. All work will take place on existing facilities and in previously disturbed areas within the Caltrans right of way and/or operational easement on LADWP, Forest Service, or BLM land. Temporary construction easements will be required for staging at PM 57.1 and possibly to bring adjacent driveways to grade. No new right of way will be required.
