Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has Notification of Lake or Streambed Alteration, EPIMS Notification No. EPIMS-MEN-17429-R1C, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) Caltrans is planning to conduct a geotechnical design investigation for the Eel River Bridge (Br. # 10-0236) located in Mendocino County on State Route 162, Postmile (PM) 8.2. The purpose of the investigation is to assess subsurface conditions. This investigation is needed to identify proper foundation upgrades. Two borings will be drilled next to existing piers into the riverbed. Boring depths are not expected to be more than 100 feet.
