Document Description
DWR staff will clear-out sediment and debris from multiple culverts located along both the primary and secondary sides of the CAAQ starting at Check One and ending at Check Eight. Culverts will be cleaned using a water truck injecting high pressure water to mimic natural runoff events. Containment will be placed as necessary along waterways. Equipment staging shall be done at the nearest CAAQ check structure on the expanded improved roadway or along the CAAQ existing roadways. All DFD service equipment shall be removed at the end of each workday. All work is within DWR right of way.

The State Water Project provides significant and important services to many Californians. This project is exempt because it involves routine maintenance activities. This project will not result in impacts to special status species or habitat. Because this activity can be implemented without any significant environmental impacts, the Categorical Exemption Class 1 will be used for CEQA compliance.
