Reasons for Exemption
The City of Fort Bragg electrical grid is sometimes effected by Public Safety Power Shut-Offs for neighboring areas with high fire danger. The generator project will allow PG&E to continue to provide powerty during both PSPS and other natural disasters and winter storms. Therefore the main project qualifies under the statutory exemption for emergency projects to prevent or mitigate an emergency.

The City allowed PG&E to defer required pedestrian and civil upgrades from previous site development. They are required under this project. As PG&E is required to construct a sidewalk along the section of the site, PG&E will have to repair certain sections of road and storm drains that are existing.
