Document Description
The purpose of the proposed project is to improve the safety, sustainability, and performance of the District 3 Regional Transportation Management Center (RTMC) located at 3165 Gold Valley Drive, Rancho Cordova. This project is needed to improve the energy performance, safety, and sustainability of the existing building by addressing water infiltration issues from leaks to the HVAC units in the rooftop and inadequate roof insulation. All work for this State-funded project will take place within the existing right-of-way and no new right-of-way will be needed.
This project proposes to install new roof, install 4 to 5 new outdoor-rated energy efficient HVAC units, and inspect for mold and structural defects. The project also proposes to adjust roof curbs for mechanical equipment and skylights, extend plumbing vents, and modify roof ladders and parapet wall coping if needed. If project funds are available, the design will consider upgrade ADA, upgrade interior and exterior lighting to LED and add landscape around the building to the project.
