Document Description
In order for DRWD to better manage its SWP water supplies and increase water reliability to help meet water demands within its service area during periods of drought, DRWD requested DWR’s approval for the continued delivery of its approved State Water Project (SWP) water supplies (DRWD’s SWP Water) to Kern County Water Agency (KCWA) for temporary storage in the Kern Water Bank (KWB) and later recovery for use in DRWD’s service area. The Agreement, SWP #22007, sets forth the terms and conditions for the delivery of a portion of DRWD’s SWP Water to KCWA for temporary storage in KWB through December 31, 2030, and the recovery of such water by December 31, 2035.
