Document Description
The Department of Water Resources (DWR) is planning to purchase approximately 568.82 acres of land near Clifton Court Forebay. The purpose of the property acquisition is for future State Water Project needs, in compliance with California Water Code Sections 258 and 11575. DWR is not proposing to change the existing use of the property, which is currently cultivated annual cropland. DWR will seek a long-term lease to continue agricultural uses. If a new use for the land is proposed, DWR will perform a separate environmental analysis pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act.
