Document Description
Proposed improvements include replacement of old and undersized waterlines, installation of water meters, meter boxes and service lines; installation of a new water intake structure (including a fish screen and piping) at the District’s existing water diversion point in Boulder Creek; improvements to the water treatment plant to bring the treatment process into compliance with current surface drinking water standards; improvements to the existing in-ground concrete water storage reservoirs; construction of a new 63,000-gallon above-ground welded steel water tank and associated access road improvements. The purpose of the proposed project is to obtain compliance with State Water Resources Control Board requirements, provide adequate fire flows, and ensure a safe and reliable water supply for residents and businesses in the District’s water service area. The District’s existing surface water rights would not change as a result of the project.
