Document Description
The project proposes trees and vegetation maintenance at the former Sonoma Developmental Center, per the recommendations of a detailed licensed arborist inventory and assessment. The work includes felling of dead or diseased trees, pruning of dead and broken limbs and branches, and removing mistletoe and applying mistletoe inhibitor consistent with all applicable laws and regulations regarding the application, and removing vines from buildings. Other services include material and debris hauling, chipping, stump grinding, and supplying topsoil to restore surfaces. The project is conditioned to perform nesting bird surveys should field work be performed during nesting bird season and includes best management practices protecting soil and water resources from contamination, and traffic control measures to protect vehicles and pedestrians in the area. The project would remove imminent hazards and improve pedestrian safety and protect property from damage.
