The overall project is limited to the installation of a concrete median barrier with crash cushions between the intersections of SR 49-Lone Star Road and SR 49-Lorenson/Florence Road stretching approximately 1.3 miles long. A total of two roundabout traffic features will be constructed, one at each intersection. To facilitate the installation of the roundabout features, portions of the existing roads will be
widened by removing riparian habitat and filling in wetland and stream habitats. The project will also install wildlife fencing with jump outs along a portion of SR 49 to direct wildlife away from the roadway and towards the Orr Creek Bridge and/or an existing cattle undercrossing.
