Document Description
CVWD will be installing a new 29-foot tall Ameron pole for the placement of a CCU/repeater , solar panel and control box mounted on the top of the pole, The mounted device is a radio collector, similar to a cell phone tower, in that it collects water meter data and transmits the information to a center receiver at our District office for informational and billing purposes.

Reasons for Exemption
This project will install an Ameron pole with communication equipment within the City right-of-way. This installation will have no environmental impact since this location is developed and any disturbed landscape will be replaced in-kind. This is a small structure that will occupy less than 1 square foot. The project is exempt pursuant to Section 15303 Class 3 (New Construction or Conversion of Small Structures) and 15332 Class 32, (Infill Development) of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and Section 3.22 of the City of Fontana 2019 Local Guidelines for implementing the California Environmental Quality Act.
