The proposed project is a comprehensive update of the Housing Element of the General Plan for the City of Bishop, in accordance with California law. The Housing Element update includes assessment of local housing problems, analysis of programs that assist in providing housing for all segments of the community, and specific actions to increase housing supply, alleviate housing issues and constraints, and meet Bishop's share of overall Inyo County housing needs, as identified by the California Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD).
