Document Description
The Department of Parks and Recreation will install lawn irrigation fixtures and restore lawns in three cottages located in Columbia State Historic Park, to reduce manhours needed to appropriately water the lawns, and enhance park resources for visitors. In all cottages, work will hard wire-install Irrigation timers into the units for automated watering; add top-soil and grass mix to restore lawn and install MP rotator nozzles on all irrigation heads to reduce misting and water loss of evaporation. Additional work is as follows: At Cottage #3; excavate a 600’L x 4” W x 6” D trench to place 600 Linear feet of ¾” SCH40 PVC and install 4 irrigation valves with Anti-Siphon Valves and 46 pop up spray heads. At Cottage #4; excavate a 500’L x 4” W x 6” D trench to place 500 linear feet of ¾” SCH PVC, install 4 irrigation valves with Anti-Siphon valves and 35 pop up spray heads. At cottage #15; excavate a 250’L x 4” W x 6” D trench for placement of 250 linear feet of ¾” SCH 40PVC, install 3 irrigation valves with Anti-Siphon Valves, and 8 pop up spray heads with additional 8 Pop up rotor spray heads on side yard.
