Document Description
The project is limited to the widening of an existing pier to ten feet, conversion of a catwalk to make it adjustable, and installation of a boatlift. In total, one (1) 10 3/4" piling, nine (9) 4" fenders, and two (2) 1 1/2" supports will be removed (total of 1.4 square feet) and replaced with one (1) 10 3/4" piling, two (2) W10X49 flange beams, three (3) 2 1/2" fenders, four (4) 2" supports, and three (3) 4x4” tube piling will be installed (total of 1.4 square feet). An amphibious barge with pile driver and crane will be used to complete the project. Caissons will be installed around the piling as necessary to control turbidity in the immediate project area. All debris and staging will be contained on a floating barge. All material transport will be via barge and loaded/offloaded at Obexer's Marina. The construction is estimated to be completed within eight weeks of commencement.
