Document Description
This planning project will (1) design a groundwater system to provide an alternative water supply that will enable Deer Creek Irrigation District (DCID) to reduce or eliminate diversion to the Sheep Camp Ditch; (2) design a groundwater system that will enable water users on the Cone-Kimball Ditch to reduce or eliminate their use of surface water; (3) explore opportunities to increase efficiency within the DCID and Stanford-Vina Ranch Irrigation Company systems through measures such as ditch lining, tailwater recovery, and seasonal recharge of groundwater; and (4) work with the above stakeholders to create a long-term plan to manage the flow enhancements resulting from the above measures, plus potential flow enhancements produced by future projects, to meet instream flow targets in Deer Creek on a long-term sustainable basis.
