Document Description
Categorical Exemption pursuant to CEQA Section 15301, Class 1 (Existing Facilities) and Section 15303, Class 3 (New Construction/Conversion of Small Structures).
The proposed project is located at LADWP Palms District Headquarters. LADWP proposes to install 33 new Electric Vehicle (EV) chargers at an existing LADWP facility at existing parking spaces. The goals of the project are to encourage adoption of electric vehicles. The project will consist of 8 Level-3 (50 kW) EV chargers and 25 Level-2 (6.5 kW) EV chargers. The project will also consist of minor construction work to install the associated infrastructure. Trenching is required to install a new transformer and switch pad, at a capacity of 1,500 kW. Electric service will be underground to the EV chargers.

The proposal at the Palms District Headquarters for EV charging stations meet the requirements of these exemptions; therefore, no further CEQA review is required.
