Document Description
The project proposes to perform an exploratory geotechnical investigation, to determine subsurface composition at the Paige Avenue Overcrossing. Also, at the 3 soundwalls, 3 retaining walls, 2 security blockwalls, and 7 infiltration basins. Three borings will be performed at the bridge location and drilled to maximum depth of 150 feet each. The remaining 18 boring locations will be drilled at the retaining wall, soundwall and block wall locations at a maximum depth of 50 feet. Three infiltration test boring will also be performed at the 7 infiltration basins at a depth of 15 feet. The width of each borehole are typically 4-8 inches in diameter. The drilling equipment consist of a truck-mounted, trailer mounted, or all terrain drill rig equipped with a Standard Penetration Test hammer and support equipment including water tender, and a crew cab with trailer.
