Reasons for Exemption
The project consists of the minor addition to an existing private structure (new wireless rooftop telecommunication facility consisting of a 12’ x 12’ cupola and a 30kW diesel backup generator secured with a 6-foot tall CMU wall), not resulting in an increase of more than 10,000 square feet, in an area where all public services and facilities are available, and in an area that is not environmentally sensitive, and the construction of a new wireless rooftop telecommunication facility not involving the use of significant amounts of hazardous substances and not exceeding 2,500 square feet of floor area; therefore the project is exempt from the provisions of CEQA.
