Document Description
The City has experienced numerous issues with their undersized water lines in recent years. Pipe corrosion is causing poor water quality, reduced pressure in the system, and leaky pipes, which can cause up to 20% water loss from the system. The planning project will prepare improvements to 46,500 linear feet of existing 2- and 4-inch water pipe, including associated valves, hydrants, and other required appurtenances. The project will improve water quality, increase system pressure, minimize losses in the system, and improve the City's water conservation efforts. Planning of the project will include breaking the project into multiple smaller improvement projects to streamline construction.
