Document Description
The project is limited to pipe replacements and infrastructure maintenance at the five sumps. Area around the portion of pipes to be replaced will be excavated and the pipes would be cored out through the headwall on the waterside of the levee. Welded steel pipes near the pump discharge and outfall structure locations will be replaced and stairs will be installed at select locations.

The project is located at five existing pump outfalls, three located along Steelhead Creek and two located along Arcade Creek, all within in the City of Sacramento (Table 1), in Sacramento County, State of California. Maintenance work will occur at Sumps 058, 102, 103, 154, and 159 location at 38.60886, -121.49103, 38.61751, -121.46923, 38.62590, -121.44775, 38.61943, -121.46703, and 38.62504, -121.44762 respectively.

Reasons for Exemption
Class 2 because the project involves replacement of existing sump pipe facilities on the same site, which will serve the same purpose and capacity as the existing facility. Class 4 because the project involves minor public alterations to the existing facility and does not involve the removal of healthy, mature, or scenic trees.
