The UWCD proposed Project includes construction and operation of iron and manganese water treatment equipment and associated infrastructure upgrades at the existing El Rio Water Treatment Plant and Groundwater Recharge Facility. The purpose of the proposed project is to provide water treatment to address high concentrations of iron and manganese in pumped groundwater supplies.
