Document Title
Solar Energy Project - Haskell Middle School
Document Type
NOE - Notice of Exemption
Document Description
ABC Unified School District proposes to install one solar energy array on an elevated carport-like structure (Structure A) at Haskell MS. Structure A would be located over a grass field along the north side of asphalt courts towards the center of the campus and comprised of metal columns and beams supporting array panels, a minimum of 10-foot high. Structure A would consist of 324 photo-voltaic (PV) modules tilted at a 7-degree angle with the maximum power output system of 136.080 kilowatts (kW). Approximately 335 feet of conduit would be installed through directional borings from Structure A through the asphalt courts to an existing electrical equipment box (point of interconnection) near campus buildings on the south side of the campus. The project would also provide underground conduit for installation of car chargers in the future. However, Installation of car chargers require additional funding and would not be installed at this time. The District and general community will benefit from a reduction in energy consumption and reduced energy costs.
