City of Shafter is proposing to develop a small (no more than 5 acres), passive use only, local neighborhood park with limited parking and vehicular access to W. Fresno Avenue. Park site is located approx. 500 feet south of W. Fresno Ave and 600 feet west of State Route 43. Proposed park includes a 9,500 sq. ft. skate park, 4,000 sq. ft. volleyball pit, 10,500 sq. ft. spray park, 15,600 sq. ft. playground, basketball court, small exercise area, gazebo, six shaded picnic tables, restroom, 12 parking stalls, 3 handicap parking stalls, and 9,000 sq. ft. of open grass area
