This project is limited to one temporary Class II culvert crossing used for skidding logs and transport of equipment. The crossing shall consist of logs and two or more 24-inch culverts necessary to handle flow at the time of use. At completion of use logs and culvert(s) shall be removed and erosion control measures applied
The project is located on an unnamed tributary to Broken kettle Creek, a tributary to Elk Creek a tributary to Rogue River, in the County of Del Norte, State of California; in the Elk Creek Planning Watershed (1102.200302) Township 18N, Range 04E, Section 3; Humboldt Base and Meridian; USGS 7.5 minute quadrangle Broken Rib Mountain

Reasons for Exemption
This project is limited to one existing temporary Class II culvert crossing used for skidding logs and transport of equipment. There would be no significant adverse impact on endangered, rare or threatened species or their habitat pursuant to section 15065. There are no hazardous materials at or around the project site that may be disturbed or removed. The project will not result in impacts that are significant when viewed in connection with the effects of past projects, the effects of other current projects, and the effects of probable future projects.
