Document Description
Woodcrest Real Estate Ventures is proposing various improvements within Caltrans’ right-of-way on State Route (SR) 97 in Siskiyou County at post mile 50.747 that would facilitate improved access to an existing Dollar General store in the City of Dorris and ensure compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). The proposed improvements include demolishing existing driveway aprons along Third Street (SR 97), reconstructing existing non-compliant curb, gutter, sidewalk, and a corner curb ramp to make these features ADA-compliant, and adjusting an existing water meter box to finish grade in the reconstructed sidewalk. The work would improve approximately 50 lineal feet of existing commercial driveway, approximately 110 lineal feet of existing curb and gutter, approximately 70 lineal feet of existing sidewalk, and 1 existing corner curb ramp. Maximum excavation depth would be approximately two feet.
