Document Description
PG&E’s Southern California Desert Gas Pipeline Operation and Maintenance Activities (Project), as approved by the California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) with the certification of the Final EIR, consists of PG&E continuing to carry out ongoing operation and maintenance of its Southern California desert gas pipeline system as conditioned by an California Endangered Species Act Incidental Take Permit (ITP) and expected Lake and Streambed Alteration (LSA) Agreements. CDFW’s approval of the Project under the California Fish and Game Code includes the issuance of an ITP for the Mojave desert tortoise (Gopherus agassizii) and the Mohave ground squirrel (Xerospermophilus mohavensis), and the expected issuance of Lake and Streambed Alteration (LSA) Agreements. The issuance of the ITP and expected issuance of LSA Agreements are proposed discretionary approvals by CDFW subject to required compliance with the California Environmental Quality Act. CDFW has analyzed and disclosed the environmental effects of the Project that PG&E is proposing to continue to carry out as conditioned by the permits issued by CDFW.
