CDFW is approving a minor change to extend the period of the project for two additional years, through 2024. No other project changes will occur. The Monterey Bay Salmon and Trout Project will release 160,000 fish during a single release using two to four transport trucks (depending on loading density) in 2023 and 2024. All salmon will have an adipose fin clip and a coded-wire tag. Tagged fish have a unique release group code designated for this program.
