Reasons for Exemption
The proposed action involves acquisition of a privately owned residential parcel by a public agency in order to allow for public park use in the future. The parcel has two vacant residential structures in dilapidated condition and the remaining parcel area is open space in a relatively natural condition. The intended use of the site is public park with minimal improvements such as expanded park parking, and recreational park amenities. No management plan has been prepared for the park use. A review to determine environmental consistency with CEQA will be performed if a future management plan, land use changes, or physical improvements are proposed for the site.
