- Document Description
- The primary project objective is to construct a permanent ramp into the concretized section of the Corte Madera Creek so that construction and maintenance equipment, such as trucks, excavators and skid steer loaders, can access the channel for creek maintenance. The project will construct a permanent access ramp approximately 15 feet wide by 80 feet long (1200 sq ft), and sloping from Cedar Avenue down to the existing creek channel bed that is approximately 10 feet below ground at an approximately 15 percent grade. Concrete floodwalls will be constructed adjacent to the ramp on both the upstream and downstream side of the ramp that connect into the existing Corte Madera Creek concrete channel walls. After construction, the floodwalls will be approximately 80 feet long and up to one (1) foot above existing ground elevation.

Notice of Exemption
- Exempt Status
- Categorical Exemption
- Type, Section or Code
- 15303
- Reasons for Exemption
- This project qualifies for the 15303 exemption because it involves new minor construction of a small structure, an access ramp with a footprint of 1200 sq ft, on a vacant parcel. The project is designed to avoid potential for significant environmental impacts. The new access ramp floodwalls join to the existing concrete channel walls seamlessly and do not intrude into the creek channel, so there are no negative impacts to streamflow.
