Document Description
The Regional Transportation Plan guides the development of the Regional and Federal Transportation Improvement Programs (RTIP and FTIP) as well as other transportation programming documents and plans. Specifically, it outlines the Tulare County region’s goals and policies for meeting current and future mobility needs and identifies programs, actions, and a plan of projects intended to address these needs consistent with adopted goals and policies. The Sustainable Communities Strategy is a part of the Regional Transportation Plan required by California Senate Bill (SB) 375 that demonstrates how regional greenhouse gas reduction targets will be met through integrated land use, housing, and transportation planning.
