Document Description
The Project involves improvements to the existing box culverts and concrete-lined channel within Evans Ditch, two existing reinforced concrete box culverts will be joined by a new section of culvert, necessitating the removal of an existing concrete lining within the stream. The Project also involves the extension of an existing reinforced concrete box culvert at a currently unlined portion of Evans ditch and accompanying end treatments. The Project will result in approximately 1,306 square feet of permanent impacts in association with the culvert pipe extension and new end treatments. The Project will also result in a total of 1,306 square feet of temporary impacts, in association with the removal of the existing concrete lining.

The Project will occur at two locations along Evans Ditch within the City of Visalia, in Tulare County. More specifically, the Project involves the replacement and extension of two culvert pipes that convey surface waters in Evans Ditch adjacent to East Mineral King Avenue and East Noble Avenue. The Project work area adjacent to East Noble Avenue is designated Location No. 1 by Permittee and is centered near latitude 36.326968, longitude -119.261195, the Project work area adjacent to East Mineral King Avenue is designated Location No. 2 by Permittee and is centered near latitude 36.328482, longitude -119.259588. The two Project work areas at Evans Ditch are located on the southwest corner of Section 27, Township 18 South, Range 25 East; and the northeast corner of Section 33, Township 18 South, Range 25 East Mount Diablo Baseline and Meridian, and can be found on the Visalia, California United States Geological Survey 7.5 Minute Topographic Quadrangle.
