Document Description
Zoning Code Amendment 20-004 was filed by the Town of Mammoth Lakes to amend and update the zoning code sections related to accessory dwelling units (“ADUs”) and implement Government Code section(s) 65852.1 and 65852.2. The amendments achieved the following: (1) clarified conflicting and/or confusing code language from the Town’s 2019 ADU regulations update; (2) changed all code references from “Second(ary) Dwelling Units” to “Accessory Dwelling Units” or “ADUs”; and (3) re-organized the format of the ADU code section to improve the usability for the public/staff and to clearly articulate the requirements for each type of ADU. The Town Council adopted the ordinance for Zoning Code Amendment 20-004 on March 3, 2021.
