Document Description
The California Department of Transportation proposes to make culvert repairs to State Route (SR) 51 at postmile 1.2 in Sacramento County. The purpose of the project is to restore this stretch of SR 51 to safe operating conditions. This emergency project is needed as a failed 12-inch-diameter, 71-foot-long culvert caused the formation of a void with an oval-shaped opening on the slope paving directly on top of the culvert. The void extends more than six feet into the travel way. The proposed solution would replace the failed culvert and backfill the void.
