Document Description
This project will pave the hunter access parking lot and resurface the Van Atta Trail to allow access for people with limited mobility. This trail is heavily used for student field trips from the Grasslands Environmental Education Center and by the general public. A newly installed pergola will provide shade to people on using the Van Atta Trail. The weathered educational kiosk will be replaced. A new sign announcing the auto route will be installed.

The educational kiosk is exempt because it consists of replacement or reconstruction of an existing structure (§15302, Class 2 Replacement and Reconstruction). Construction of the pergola is exempt because is consists of construction of a small structure (§15303, Class 3 New Construction or Conversion of Small Structures). The sign consists of construction of a minor structure accessory (§15311, Class 11 Accessory Structures).
