Document Description
UC Davis Health is constructing an approximately 909,000-gross-square-foot (gsf) hospital tower, referred to as the California Hospital Tower (CHT), and renovating 82,000 gsf in the Surgery and Emergency Services Pavilion for a total of 991,000 gsf of Department of Health Care Access and Information (HCAI) Level-1 space. UC Davis is also constructing Parking Structure 5 (PS5) immediately north and adjacent to the CHT project site, as well as associated make-ready projects and demolition of the East Wing of the main hospital. These projects were evaluated in the California Hospital Tower Environmental Impact Report (CHT EIR), which was certified by the University in November 2021. The proposed action modifies Mitigation Measure AQ-2a to require electric cranes to the extent feasible, and, in the event limited use of electric cranes are not feasible, to require use of other electric construction equipment to the extent necessary to create no new or increased significant impacts as compared to the CHT EIR.
