Document Description
The proposed California Hospital Tower project is located west of 45th Street and north of X Street, at the east end of the existing UC Davis Medical Center, adjacent to the surgery and Emergency Services Pavilion. The California Hospital Tower will be approximately 890,000 gsf, with a 5-story leg extending off the main 14-story tower. The tower would provide up to 332 licensed beds, surgery space, procedure rooms, public space, and support space and will include two new helipads. The tower would reach 237 feet at the roofline, and the elevator over-ride would reach approximately 267 feet. To accommodate the tower height and program needs, Long Range Development Plan Amendment No. 1 to allow for the building height restriction within the Hospital land use to increase to 270 feet is included. The Environmental Impact Report evaluates the entire aggregation of potential environmental impacts of the California Hospital Tower project and provides environmental impact analysis for distinct components of the project, including the tower component.
