Document Description
The California Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC), pursuant to authority granted under California Code of Regulations, Title 22, Division 4.5, Chapter 20, Section 66270.61, has issued an Emergency Permit to San Jose State University (SJSU) (EPA ID# CAT080031206) to treat hazardous waste through a controlled reaction with a chemical solution. Specifically, one (10mL container) Acetaldehyde, one (4L container) Butyl Methacrylate, one (100mL container) Allyl Methacrylate, two (200g containers) Poly Styrene/Divinylbenzene, three (100g containers) Potassium, one (10g container) 2,2 Azobisisobutyronitrile, two (100g containers) 3-Chloroperoxybenzoic Acid, one (10g container) Benzoyl Peroxide, two (1 pint containers) Collodion (Nitrocellulose), one (100g conatiner) Sodium Azide must be stabilized prior to transport to a permitted treatment, storage, and disposal facility.
