Document Description
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) proposes to widen State Route (SR) 29 to provide left turn channelization for vehicles turning left at the intersection of Kelsey Creek Drive from northbound SR 29. In addition, an acceleration lane will be provided for vehicles turning from Kelsey Creek Drive onto northbound SR 29. Earthwork, both cut and fill, will be utilized to create the additional width. The new fill slopes will be improved to standard and cut slopes will be flattened. Existing metal beam guardrails at Kelsey Creek Bridge will be upgraded to Midwest Guardrail System (MGS). The existing culvert at PM 35.09, northwest of the intersection will also be extended. Right-of-Way acquisition from three parcels on the southbound side of the highway will be required.
