- Document Description
- The existing Arnold Reservoir Chino Ranch Dam (Dam No. 2025) is an earthen faced dam built build in 1912 as a stock pond for cattle. It continues to serve as such today. The dam face is approximately 900 linear feet in length. Minor erosional benching is occurring on the dam’s upstream face. To repair the erosion, installation of 50 linear feet of non-grouted rip rap is proposed. The rip-rap will consist of native rock 18-36 inch diameter (e.g. ¼ ton rip-rap). Most of the rip rap will be placed below the water line. Exposed rip rap will be embedded with native soil. No concrete or asphalt debris will be used.
