Document Description
Siemens Mobility Inc. is applying for a grading permit to place gravel surface and temporary fencing on 3 vacant parcels owned by Siemens Rail Car Factory on French Road in the South Sacramento community. This project was granted an Emergency Temporary Use of Property (PLNP2020-00100) to utilize three adjacent properties for outdoor equipment/vehicle storage awaiting transport during COVID-19 State of Emergency. Due to supply chain issues occurring in the current COVID scenario product is getting partially built, but cannot be shipped to customer sites. To keep Siemens’ workforce active and factory open, Siemens are using 3 parcels to store incomplete train assemblies and associated sub sections until the supply chain is restored.
