- Document Description
- The project consists of placing concrete slope protection at 10 locations between postmiles 32.7-36.5. In some cases, this protection will be on the upstream and downstream sides of the roadway. Slope protection may include concreted rock slope protection (RSP) in downstream areas. It is anticipated that the downstream slope protection treatments will be anchored into the native wash material. Such treatment will reduce scour and limit head cutting and potential roadway loss in storm events. Concreted shoulders adjacent to the existing edge of pavement (EP) will potentially be 10 feet wide, and slope treatment beyond this initial 10 feet could extend another 20 feet to 25 feet or be as narrow as 10 feet.
