- The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is proposing a safety improvement project on highway 299 in Shasta County near the town of Ingot from 2.7 miles East of Seamans Gulch Road to 1.2 miles West of Du Bois Road. The purpose of the project is to reduce the number and severity of accidents within the project limits. The Traveling public would benefit from this project.
