Document Description
Construct additional ground water monitoring wells to address data gaps, establish and/or enhance "baseline" conditions of groundwater and assist with remedial planning at San Luis Reservoir to fulfill requirements of the Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board's {CVRWQCB). Work will:
• Install seven additional groundwater wells down and cross gradient from the San Luis Reservoir release area;
• Conduct semi-annual groundwater sampling of existing and proposed monitoring wells, with associated reporting;
• Generate an updated CSM that includes the additional data proposed to be collected in this work plan;
• Installation of eight SVE extraction wells in the proposed pilot study area;
• Wells will be created by a C-57 licensed drilling contractor using a 6"-8" diameter hollow stem auger to drill to the necessary depth with a flush mounted well vault completion;
• Monitoring wells will total 70' depth and 8" Diameter, and will consist of 2' SCH 40 PVC, San FilterPack, Bentonite Filter, and a Cement Seal; and
• Wells will be covered by a locking well cap and a mounted well box that will be flush with the ground.
