Document Description
Replace a failed leachfield for a residential septic system in Henry Cowell Redwoods SP to ensure public health and safety. Trenching will occur a minimum of 10ft from base of redwoods. One (1) diseased box alder will be removed prior to excavation. All avoidance measures will be done in conjunction with DPR resource specialists. Work will: • Excavate trench approximately 60ft long, 1ft wide, and 2ft deep from septic tank to diverter box; • Excavate two (2) parallel trenches approximately 50ft long, 3ft wide, and 5ft deep; • Install pipe from septic tank, diverter box, and leach field lines; • Backfill trenches with reserved excavation spoils; and • Broadcast any remaining spoils around worksite to no greater than 4in in depth and cover with forest duff.
