Document Description
This hazardous fuel reduction project is in western Shasta County, in the footprint of the 2018 Carr Fire between Whiskey-town Lake & Redding. The project proposes 1,225 acres of hazard fuel clearing in the Wildland Urban Interface (WUI) on private property and will establish a 956 acre fuel treatment along the ridge between Mary Lake & Lower Springs from Hwy 299 West to Swasey Drive in Shasta. This fuel treatment will provide a barrier in the WUI where the City of Redding borders the community of Shasta.
